Description of service
The brakes on my bike were squeaking really loudly; so loudly that people would stop and stare at me when I rode by and used my brakes. They were really, really loud. I was worried that maybe it meant that something was wrong with the brakes as well, so I went to get the brakes fixed.
The repair person replaced the back brakes on my bike. He said it would be ready in one day but I was unable to pick up the bike for two days.
Review of Service
The back brakes were shiny and new but after two days they squeaked really loud too! I don't know if they had needed to be replaced but didn't feel like the replacement should have had the exact same problem so soon. Also, the guy who was working there tried to talk me into buying a $100 bike helmet, so I definitely felt like they were trying to rip me off and had me marked as someone who knows nothing about bike (which I am).
Tips
I probably should have gone to the other bike store nearby and gotten an estimate from them as well. Then I would have known if this place was ripping me off or not. If you are able, have someone who knows about bikes look at it and see if it really needs to be fixed or not.
