Description of service

My furnace was about 30 years old, and completely broken. I had to buy a new furnace. My condo is about 1100 square feet. My home also has central air, but thankfully only the furnace broke this time around.

Review of Service

I used a furnace repair guy who is absolutely excellent. He has been doing this for years and years, and gets out to fix things immediately. I would recommend him to anyone. He is a private guy, but buys all the parts and does an excellent job. He removed the old unit and built the new one in where the old one had been.

Tips

I would recommend hiring a private individual or small company instead of a huge chain to do this type of repair work. $1400 is a lot of money no matter how you slice it, but it is very reasonable as far as a brand new furnace is concerned. The small guys are in business for themselves, so they have to stay competitive. The big companies often times run huge ads in the phone books that costs literally thousands of dollars per month! (My parents used to have a small business, which is how I know). They often times hope people call them just because they have heard the name or think that they will be a good company because of the large advertisement. Not always the case. They will definitely overcharge.
