I had to purchase a new furnace because my furnace had started to corrode. This could have caused deadly CO2 poisoning. I chose a more energy efficient unit. The installation was handled by the same company I bought the unit from and was included in the price. The actual installation was six hundred and the furnace and supplies were twelve hundred.

I was extremely happy with the quality of work done. The installer had to extend the ductwork because the new furnace is much shorter than the old one. He did this in no time. The whole process took an afternoon. The installer explained everything before he started and cleaned up the whole mess before he left. I have new bamboo floors and was happy to see that he layi tarps to protect my floors before he started working.

Prior to hiring the company that I purchased the furnace from, I had several other local companies out to look at the old furnace. Each one promised to clean the furnace and then see if it needed repair or replacement. Not one actually cleaned the furnace. They all quoted outrageous prices for a replacement. One technician reeked of last night's alcohol. I felt like no matter what I tried, I was going to pay way too much. I decided to call a big box store. I was shocked to find the price quoted was half of what the small local companies wanted. There were also no hidden fees like a rush fee one company proposed. If you need this type of work done, please call several types of companies. Don't discount large national chains. They really gave me the best price and great work.
