Description of service
The unit which was replaced was an oil burning furnace. The entire system was replaced with a brand new furnace, duct work and cleaning of vents. There were no gratuities added on and the cost of labor was approximately $2,000 with the rest coming from the cost of materials. The cost of materials was slightly lower than expected due to finding a sale at the time, the contractor was very good with being fair.
Review of Service
The quality of service was phenomenal. The gentlemen worked quickly, made sure to clean up as they did the job and had fabulous attitudes! They took the time to explain what they were doing or what a certain part was when questioned and did not make you feel "ignorant" for asking, nor did they make you feel as if you were a nuisance. Excellent customer service.
Tips
Definitely search your options or go onto a site that will allow contractors to bid for the work. Remember that you are their boss essentially and you have the right to have work done which will be both cost efficient and by an individual who will give you the proper respect while in your home. Knowledge, as always is power.
