Fortunately, I didn't have to pay for the repair. The company took responsibility for their equipment and sent the repairman out for free.
Review of Service
Some cable channels would get fuzzy and the service would get cut off at random. When I called the company, they checked my signal while I was on the phone and said that it seemed like something was wrong with the line. They said the signal was weak and they had to send someone out. I was told that someone would be there between 9 and 5pm, which thankfully I didn't have anything to do that day. When they finally showed up, they checked the wires and sure enough, there was a short in it. They had to replace the whole cable from the pole to the house, which took quite a few hours. After they were done though, I never had a problem with my cable.
Tips
I can't say that there are too many downsides to a free repair. The one bad thing was the time frame that they gave me. I wish they could have been a little more exact, so I would say if I had to do it again, to be more firm about what times I am available and work a little harder to find a time range that is more convenient.
