Description of service
The service was a standard maintenance call to our local cable provider company.Our cable tv service was not properly working, so we needed to call to get it fixed. The service involved their repair guy fixing the problem (which required only labor and not parts). The visit took about 30 minutes.
Review of Service
We were actually pretty upset that we had to pay for such a service, because we maintain that it was our cable company's fault. The cable company maintained the fault was on our end, and hence charge the $30 fee. The service itself was fine because it got our cable television service working again, which in the end, is what we set out to do. The complaint/problem is just in the dispute over the fee.
Tips
My best tip would be to carefully investigate service fees from your local cable company before calling in for a repair. If there are automatic built in fees to send somebody out (like in our case) for $30 or whatever, you might want to address the dispute on the phone before you call for a repair man to come out. If we could have done it over again, I think that is what I would have done.
