Description of service
About a year ago I got basic cable for my house. I was on a budget and wanted to get basic cable with HBO the cost was $29.95 for the basic cable and $10.00 for the HBO/Cinemax for a total of $39.95 a month before taxes. The TV I had was nothing special and I really just wanted basic television for the weekdays and HBO/Cinemax so I had something to watch on the weekends. I got about 70 channels with the basic cable and about 10 channels of HBO/Cinemax.
Review of Service
The cable package I got was pretty good all around, this package had all of my local channels and channels like MTV and VH1. I enjoyed watching the movie channels and it was a good thing I got them because often on the weekend there was not alot of selection otherwise. I generally got a good signal and whenever I had a problem I received excellent customer service from the cable company. Installation was fast and the technicians were very friendly and helpful. I never felt like I was being overlooked just because I was not one of the higher paying customers. Instead, I felt like I was valued just as much as the customer who gets it all.
Tips
Figure out what you actually need and what channels you actually watch to make sure you get the best deal. Ask them about specials and pricing before you choose a package.
