the Price of Basic Cable with Premium Channels

I get basic cable for a price of roughly $50 per month. This price gets me about 70 analog channels. I haven't yet stepped up to the digital cable. However I have upgraded to Some premium channels. I get five HBO channels for an additional cost of $15 per month. I had a choice of getting a deal for $5 per month for 6 months, but the catch was that it would jump to $20 per month after the introductory deal. So I just chose to pay $15 per month figuring it would save me in the long run since I want the channel for longer than a year. So it will wind up being the better deal.

All I had to do was call the cable company and have them upgrade my service that I already had to add on the premium channels. It was easy to have done, but I wound up being on the phone for close to an hour because it was a busy time of year. I think it's because college students were moving back into their houses and dorms, so they needed their cable turned on. Beyond this I have had great reception and great customer service every other time I have called. I love the channels and the service. It could be cheaper, but nothing is cheap anymore.

See if you can pay a little more at first instead of taking the great deal for 6 months because it could save you more money in the long run.
