Description of service
I have basic non-digital cable that also comes with 2 HBO's and 2 Showtime's. With taxes and fees I pay right around 45 dollars a month. This includes rental of the cable box.
Review of Service
The service is fine. It's not nearly the quality that my friends with digital cable get but I'm stuck in a contract. I would say from what I've seen it would be worth it to pay 10 bucks or so a month to get a lot more channels and better quality. I do find that I have plenty of channels though. I have had this service for right around 2 years now and have never had an outage. I have had good experiences with their customer serivce and haven't had any billing issues. I don't like that I have to be in a contract - I initially signed a 2 year contract. It leaves me no freedom to shop around.
Tips
I have a really nice television so I think having better quality would actually make a difference. If you don't have a very good television paying more for digital will probably not make much of a difference. Keep in mind though that next February everything has to go digital.
