Description of service
What exactly does $45 get you with cable TV? well I'm locked into a specific provider, so unfortunately if I don't like it, I'm out of luck and stuck. Anyways, my cable company has a basic-standard cable package that has almost 70 channels, but keep in mind that only about 50 are actual channels that most people would watch. The other 20 channels are local access channels or foreign. However I have a deal where I get HBO as a bonus.
Review of Service
I'm not particularly happy with the service or quality and especially not happy that the company has a monopoly and it's my only choice in the area. Unfortunately I watch a lot of TV, so I'm kind of stuck dealing with them. When calling to get help it has sometimes taken up to 45 minutes to get an actual operator on the phone, luckily they usually have a very quick answer, but it forces me to use up some of my cell phone hours. Since it's my only choice for tv, it's ok, but I would prefer a different company if given the option.
Tips
Cable companies are slowly gaining a monopoly on the industry forcing people to pay high prices for depleted services, unfortunately if you want cable TV you just have to deal. I say shop around a little and you may find a better deal.
