Description of service
This class was for beginners but advanced beginners. They also have a 101 class, but I had already taken one of those via a different class at a different store. This class was presented by a local crafts store. The price included a three hour lesson and all supplies including needles (although you did not get to keep the needles or any left over supplies at the end of the class). We made a purse like tote bag out of wool. It measured about 10 x 12 inches and had a short handle as well. We used only one stitch for the tote and a different one for the handle. We also got to pick some buttons to attach to the tote for decoration after the fact (it was a tote that you took home to felt).
Review of Service
This was a fun class. There were about 15 of us and there were two teachers. They showed us examples of the finished products before we started and also gave us written instructions on how to felt the totes at home after the class. I did not get quite done with my handle during the class, but finished it at home. I felted the tote and my wife loves it. The only complaint that I have is that they were pushing you to buy stuff and talking about sales and stuff while you were knitting. That was a little annoying since I spent money on the class. Other than that, I would recommend for anyone who enjoys knitting.
Tips
I would say that anytime you take a class in a retail store you should be prepared to be "sold" to. I had done this one other time and gotten disgusted with them on the sales pitch but decided to try them again anyway. I would still go back to them for another class, even though I thought I would not, just because its a decent price and I do learn stuff when I attend.
