Description of service
I took knitting classes in a collective class. The cost was $15 per session. The sessions usually lasted about an hour.
Review of Service
A local knitting club has weekly meetings where knitters of all levels show up. The cost for these meetings is $15. The more advanced members work with the beginners one on one to help them improve their knitting.
This was really great because since there was no lesson plan or anything my instructor could just help me with whatever my project was as I went along. I was able to have the same instructor at every meeting. The first time I showed up I knew absolutely nothing, not even what kind of needles to buy. The atmosphere was very supportive and everyone was happy to help everyone else out. I also felt the price was incredibly cheap considering all the one on one help I got. They also have instructional classes once a month that are planned out more and go over the basics for new beginners.
Tips
If you're just getting started a group class led by one instructor might work for you. However as your skill level progresses having an instructor who can work directly with you on whatever your project is works out very well.
