Description of service
After about a week of throbbing in my mouth the pain became unbearable. I went to the dentist and he informed me that I needed a root canal followed by a crown. He told me the root canal would take four visits and cost $450 (a discount since I did not have dental coverage). The crown would take three additional visits and cost an additional $480. The crown mold would be sent out to a lab to be made and be placed on my tooth by the dentist.
Review of Service
My dentist did a great job and the tooth looks natural. There was a fair amount of pain during the initial visit but all the following visits were totally painless. The entire process took six visits which was one less than expected and was completed in five weeks. I have had no pain or problems with the tooth since the procedure.
Tips
If you need extensive work done to you teeth and do not have a dentist you trust ask around before just picking one out of the phone book. Also don't be shy to ask your dentist if there they can give you a discount if you pay in cash. By simply asking I saved over $300 from what my dentist usually charges for these same procedures.
