I paid 1600.00 for a emergency visit to the dentist, this covered the cost of an emergency client exam, dental x-rays a root canal and a crown. This was the cost for a client without insurance coverage.I picked the dentist out of the phone book and went with the one that was close to my house and advertised "gentle dentistry".

I was very happy with the service, I called in an emergency situation, with a lot of pain and they got me in for the exam that same day, just a few hours after my call. The exam was done and the x-rays. They had me come back the next morning early for the procedure. That was reasonable I thought. The office staff and dental assistants were very helpful and sympathetic. The office was clean and smelled good. There was relaxing music and the Dentist did a good job of making sure I did not feel a thing.

The check out procedure was easy and quick, and I did not have to wait long when I arrived. Overall it was a good experience.

Get a referral from a friend if you can, that is always best with dentists. If you can't get a referal start with the phone book ads and look for dentisits who work with children, they are bound to be easier on you if you are nervous about dentists like I am. If you are driving yourself, closer to home is better, you might notwant to drive to far after work on your teeth. Find out the cost of the exam before you go. Always ask what your options are, for instance, I could have had this tooth pulled for less money if I wanted to.
