Description of service
I was having a problem with one of my molars so I went to my dentist. He took x rays and then told me that I needed a root canal. He doesn't do this type of work, so he sent me to a doctor who does this type of work. The doctor told me what he was going to do. He explained how they would put this thing across the bottom of my mouth to catch any pieces that might fall down. They didn't want this to go into my throat and cause me to choke. He said that after the root canal, I would need to have a crown put on by my dentist. This sounded like quite an ordeal!
Review of Service
The dentist was just great! I had heard all kinds of horror stories about this procedure and was very scared. I was nervous of course, but once things got under way, the dentist put me at ease by telling me each thing he was doing. I came out of there much relieved and no more pain! When I went back to my regular dentist to have the crown put one, again I was nervous. I had to bite down on this stuff to get an impression of my tooth. I had to keep my mouth shut for what seemed like an eternity. Then he put on a temporary crown and in a few weeks I went back to get the real thing. Everything went great and the tooth looks and feels good.
Tips
Taking care of your teeth can be scary. Root canals can be scary. If you get a good doctor to do this work, it will make all the difference in the world. If you don't feel comfortable with any doctor, check someone else out. When you pay that much money for something, don't just jump into it. When you have pain, you need to address it as soon as possible, especially tooth pain. It's better to have it taken care of so you will feel better. Don't be afraid of what you don't know because it might not be as bad as you think!
