Description of service
After being unsatisfied with sharing a personal trainer with a friend, I decided to spend the extra money and get my own, personal one-on-one sessions with a trainer. For $120 I got 4 one hour, weekly sessions.
Review of Service
The trainer really knew what he was doing. He actually spent almost two hours with me for the first session, even though I was only paying him for an hour. During that extra hour he covered my diet and where I should make some changes for the most benefits in my weight loss program.
He showed me how to properly use the equipment, but when I told him that I would like more tips that I could use at home, exercising by myself, he quickly switched gears and showed me how to make the most of items I had at home (exercise ball, hand held weights, etc.).
Each session he built upon what he taught during the previous session and would listen to concerns I had concerning new aches and pains from the modified exercises I was doing. Because of issues with my knees, he had to modify many common exercises to reduce stress on my knees.
All in all, I was very satisfied with the service as I can continue to use what I know without paying for a gym membership. If I ever do decide to go with a full membership, though, I will definately hire the trainer again to assist me in getting the most out of my membership money.
Tips
This was well worth the money. If you can't afford a gym membership but want some inspiration, this is the way to go!
