Description of service
in august 2007 i was diagnosed with breast cancer after my routine, yearly mammogram. 3 days later i saw an oncologist for the first time. I was so impressed with how friendly and comforting the staff was. The doctor was just as wonderful. He took all the time I needed for him to explain everything and make sure I understood exactly what I was going to be in for. It's such a scary feeling to be diagnosed with cancer so it's really important to have medical professionals who take time with you.
Review of Service
the quality of service was extraordinary. From the xray tech to the surgeon, I couldn't have asked for more. I had my lumpectomy and 3 weeks later i started 6 weeks of radiation treatments. It's funny because I am a very modest person but after having breast cancer I am not so modest anymore. For six weeks, I spent 20 minutes of every day nude from the waist up but I felt totally comfortable. It takes very special people to do the work theses people do. I've been cancer free for 2 years now so I'd have to say the quality of the treatment I received was excellent and I would recommend anyone to the doctors I had. I had to leave work everyday at 2:45 so that I could get my treatment each day. My appointment was for 3:00 PM. Not one day did I have to wait. They ran on time every single day which was very important to me.
Tips
Make sure you find a doctor that you feel totally comfortable with and trust. Find someone who is willing to spend all the time you need to understand exactly what it is you are going to be going through. I'd say that would be the most important thing when choosing a doctor.
