the Cost of Basic Hair Cuts

After browsing through several hair style books, I finally came across what I was looking for. I presented the photo to the stylist. She shampooed my hair, massaging my scalp that can only be described as euphoric. I was seated in the chair and the smock was put in place. She snipped the top of my hair using a flat comb and scissors. Using an electric trimmer she took the sides down to the desired length as well as evening my sideburns and removed any excess neck hair.

Finishing off she placed styling gel in my hair to hold it's new look. I have to say it was picture perfect.

The cost of the cut and shampoo was $11.00. I tipped her an additional $4.00 bringing the total to $15.00.

I have paid less for a hair cut in the past, but the overall satisfaction I received was well worth a few dollars more.

The young lady was knowledgeable and professional. Before she began she made sure that she understood completely what I was wanting. She was pleasant with conversation. As a customer I was made to feel as I was the center of the universe while I was in her care.

When I am looking to get my hair cut, I tend to avoid the large commercial salon and gravitate toward owner operated salons. I find that a sense of pride in their work makes for an overall better experience.
