Description of service
In October, I got a haircut at a salon in the University City section of Philadelphia, PA. I made a walk-in appointment to a salon that was about going to close in the next thirty minutes. I was quickly attended to by a woman who proceeded to ask me what haircut I wanted, and I told her that I wanted my hair trimmed because it had not been cut in a year. The woman convinced me to layer my hair, which I did. I was charged $25.00 by her, and I paid her an extra $5.00 for the tip. In all, I was there for fifteen minutes.
Review of Service
The place was well-cleaned, and it seemed as if the hairdressers cared about their appearances. I like that I was quickly attended to. I should not have listened to the hairdresser's advice to have my hair layered so shortly. When she cut my hair, I was not able to put it in a ponytail for a couple of months afterwards. She did not listen to me when I said that I wanted to be able to put my hair up. I did like that I was able to pay by check.
Tips
I would suggest that you get the advice of your peers of what salon they go to before going to a salon to get a haircut. Do not go into a salon right before closing. For some reason, I felt somewhat rushed. Also, have a clear, visual idea of what you want your hair to look like before going to the hairdresser. Finally, research the price of haircuts. Afterwards, I learned from my friends that there is an awesome place that charges $5.00 for a haircut.
