Description of service
We had a housekeeper who came in about every two weeks to do some basic cleaning. The duties of the housekeeper included cleaning the bathrooms (mopping the floor, cleaning the shower, mirrors, and toilet). She also was responsible for vacuuming the house and mopping the hard wood floors as well as dusting the shades. She also dusted all of the wood furniture with pledge. While she did some general tidying up, she was not responsible for doing any laundry.
Review of Service
Our experience with this housekeeper was fine. She did a pretty good, but not stellar job. We ended up not keeping her after a few months because we deemed that while she cleaned things, it was not much (if at all) better than we did. So, it just wasn't worth the money. She would often miss certain things like forgetting to dust the shades, which wasn't a huge deal. But, we paid to not have to worry about those things and having to do so decreased the value of her services. While she certainly did not do a poor job, it just was not worth it to keep her on.
Tips
Make sure you have a specific check list for your housekeeper so they know exactly what to do. The more vague you are, the more disappointed you will be.
