the Cost of a Handyman

We recently needed to have a new front step poured and a window cement blocked in. We called around to three different companies and all gave us outrageous quotes on something that is so easy to do but that we didn't have time to do ourselves. Finally, in frustration, I called a handyman and had him come over. He quoted a price that was a third of the price and he was licensed and could have it all done in one day. We asked around and found he had a great reputation and so we have him 50 percent down on the job and scheduled him to do the work.

He came over and pounded out the old cement and made sure every surface was level and clean before he laid the cement first and then cement blocked the window in. He was done in a day, just as he said he would, and did a fantastic job. He cleaned up the jobsite after and was so freindly and knowledgeable that we got a few of his cards to hand out to freinds.

Ask questions and shop around. We are so glad we did and will definitely call him for other jobs that we have (and there sure can be alot) as he has done such a wonderful job.
