Description of service
My nephew slammed the door of my dishwasher down to the ground. The door was crooked and would not lock when I tried to close it. It also did not stay in the usual open position. It opened all the way to the floor. I paid a local handyman one hundred dollars to fix the door.
Review of Service
I was happy with the workmanship and service I recieved. The handyman was very honest. He let me know that I didn't need any new parts. All he had to do was remove the door and straighten the brackets. He also adjusted the latch so it would lock easier. Since the repair, there haven't been any problems with the door or the latch.
Tips
I had two other quotes before I found the handyman that I ended up using. One told me that I needed a whole new door. I am not a professional, but even I could see that the door was fine. The brackets were bent. On to the next quote. This one was even better. He thought he could sell me a whole new dishwaser, claiming that he could not get the neccessary parts. I decided to stay clear of appliance repairmen and called an ad for a handyman. He was honest from the start and fixed the door in no time. If you need a repair of this kind, be sure to check out all options including handyman sevices. They might just be the best choice.
