Description of service
I had the transfer case, alignment, and leafspring repaired. repair and maintenance of American automobiles, as well as diagnostics, testing, and referrals for repair, estimates, repair and replacement.
Review of Service
So so. The service was not fantastic, but it wasn't terrible. The shop moved really slowly, and promised the vehicle back by the close of business. Low and behold, at close of business, the truck was still not ready, and we had to wait until the following day to get our truck back. They fixed things properly, but I feel the prices were overly inflated, especially for the lag in service time. The transfer case is no longer leaking, which my driveway is thankful for, but it was so expensive to replace. The leafspring was fixed, but I was aggravated with that, as well. My husband could have fixed it for a fraction of the price, but it would have voided our warranty on the vehicle, even though fixing it was not covered on our warranty. Go figure.
Tips
Check your warranty information thoroughly before you take on any repairs. There may be some things that aren't covered but aren't urgent to fix. In that case, wait until your warranty is up and fix the thing yourself if you can (like our leafspring).
