Description of service
A couple of weeks ago, I paid $256 to have the starter replaced in our 1998 Dodge Neon. The price included the evaluation of the car to find the problem, the price of the new starter and the cost of the 1 hour of labor needed to do the repair.
Review of Service
I absolutely love my mechanic. They know everything about any possible car, and they take the time to explain to you the problem, what needs to be done to fix it and what your options are if any. In this particular instance, the starter on our backup car died. Not wanting to put a ton of money into it, our mechanic did some research and found us a relatively inexpensive part, but still quality and under a one year warranty. They did the work in one morning, and we had the car back in perfect working order to us less than 24 hours after the problem began. They also did an oil change for free while they had the car there. Professional and quality work!
Tips
Absolutely get a mechanic recommendation from a friend or family member. It is so easy to get cheated, especially if you are like me and don't know a lot about cars. Finding a mechanic you like and trust will save you so much time, money and heartache over the years.
