Description of service
I was looking to take a class last fall because I was bored and wanted to learn how to bake cakes and pastries as I have always had a sweet tooth. When I went looking for a class, I found out that there was a store at the end of my street that offered classes for twenty five dollars a week. This would get you two classes a week and would allow you to learn how to bake and decorate cakes from local professionals and to make other pastries such as cookies, tarts, cheesecakes, and chocolate dipped confections. The classes were two hours long each and were very informative. You always left with lecture materials and papers to go home and practice with.
Review of Service
I could not have asked for a better time filler that was more fun! I had a blast in the classes and met a lot of really nice people that lived in my neighborhood that I had not previously known. It was great to get out within the community and really was a fun time. I learned a lot and took those lessons with me and brought them home to teach my daughters.
Tips
Go prepared to get dirty. Trust me, even if you're not working with flour that day, something WILL drop on your clothes, apron or not. Don't be afraid to make a mistake either, that's what learning is about and no one will judge you. Plus, eating your mistakes is a big perk!
