Description of service
The cost was for one person and included all the supplies to make Avocado Pistachio Pate, Tart Apple Wedges and Quince, Layered Goat Cheese Dip, Pork Loin Crostini, Coconut Shrimp with Pineapple Salsa, Fontina Cheese Pizza with Chicken, Spinach & Artichoke, Sugar Plums and Chocolate Mint Brownies. There were three separate kitchens and teachers and it was held in a local grocery store. You were able to choose which of the foods you wanted to learn how to make, three total, as there was not enough time for you to learn how to make them all; however, you did get a copy of the recipe for each of the items made to take home. I made the Layered Goat Cheese Dip, Sugar Plums, and Chocolate Mint Brownies. The class lasted about 2 hours.
Review of Service
This was so much fun. There were TONS of people participating and it was held in this huge room at the grocery store that I did not even know existed. I was bummed that you were limited to only three of the many items they were showing you how to make, but was pleased that I at least got the recipe for everything to take home with me. I felt that they sort of took on too much at once though, with three cooks and kitchens and so many people. Might have been nicer to break the class up into three actual dates. Overall I was really pleased and loved all the items that I chose to make. I do wish there had been some left overs to take home to my family though.
Tips
The only thing that I wish I would have done was to check beforehand about the dishes, but I had no way of knowing that I would not be taught all of them. I also wish that the class was a bit smaller, and had I called I would have known how many people were enrolled to take it beforehand and either been prepared or decided to go another time. Overall, I was really happy with this class, crowd or not!
