Description of service

This cooking class was held by one of the top chefs at a restaurant that I frequent. By respnding to an ad in the newspaper, the chef held a class on how to make a few of the items on the restaurant's menu as well as a few other nice dishes. In the two hour class that was held for roughly 20 people, we learned how to properly prepare lobster, steak and shrimp meals similar to those that are found in a big chain restaurant.

Review of Service

This cooking class was wonderful. For the small price of $35/person for a two hour session, this class was a steal. I have always been one of those people who enjoy cooking and learning how to cook for others. This class was a great way for me to meet other people who enjoy cooking. It was also a great atmosphere that encourages learning and mastery of a few meals at a time. The best part of this class was that we were able to enjoy our dishes once they were finished, and were also given the recipes on paper to practice on our own.

Tips

The reason I had a good experience with the cooking class was because I came into the session very excited. This class was being held by the head chef of one of my favorite restaurants, which is why I was eager about the class. If you have a restaurant that you like, then keep an eye on whether they hold cooking classes by one of the chefs. Though this may be a longshot, and you will not learn ALL of the dishes on the menu, you can still gain plenty of knowledge and learn how to cook meals that you love. Lastly, I would add that you ask for a list of the recipes that will be covered over the course of the class (if one is not provided to you), so you then become able to practice making the dishes on your own.
