Description of service
I went to a large museum here in the Los Angeles area and I stopped by the information booth to ask about a tour. Tours ran every half hour and were $8 for a two hour guided tour. We went into each of the galleries and stopped at each piece. The guide spent an average of 2 minutes presenting the piece and sometimes he would quickly mention a few and move the tour along. The museum did have a courtyard so we took a ten minute break to just sit and relax after the first hour.
Review of Service
I really enjoyed my guide because he had a vast knowledge of each and every piece that was in the museum. He even knew when new pieces were arriving. He was very thoughtful and answered all of my questions. He kept the pace steady and took into consideration of the older guests when they needed more time walking through a gallery. I do enjoy how the incorporated the break in between the first and second hour, but this was a lengthy tour and I noticed some people were feeling rushed.
Tips
I suggest you wear some good walking shoes and have a snack before you go. Make sure to drink something before you go because food and drinks are not allowed. If you need to stop for a bathroom break, there are bathrooms on every floor so you will be able to break off quickly for that. Just quickly pull the guide aside to mention it so you don't feel embarrassed screaming it out. This will also help the group stay together and not leave anyone behind.
