Description of service
We were on business trip to Washington, DC and had a full day for touring the city. A touring agency firm was suggested by our hotel and we made arrangements for them to meet us the next morning at 9 AM. The cost for 6 hours, including transportation, was $125 per person, plus I gave $20 per person gratuity. We were on tour over 6 1/2 hours.
Review of Service
We were met by a guide who drove us to the various Smithsonian Museums which we wanted to tour. Although there was no entry fee, we were able to visit the selected museums and see some of the sights of Washington without taking a taxi, bus or trying to walk around the city. The guide went with us on part of the tours and explained some of the items and paintings to us. He was very well informed, and showed us some things we would not have viewed on our own. The service was good and well worth the cost. It encouraged us to return and spend much more time in the city.
Tips
Read about the city or area you intend to tour before the actual tour. Be prepared on time and wear comfortable clothing and especially good walking shoes. If in a busy city, expect traffic delays and just enjoy the sights, sounds and experience.
