the Cost of Museum Tours

This is the price we paid for a museum tour. The price included the cost of admission for two adults and one child age nine. The museum features natural history, dinosaurs, local history, and science exhibits. The tour included about twenty visitors and was conducted by a very knowledgeable staff member. The tour lasted approximately two hours and we were free to spend as much time in the museum after the tour was over. Headphones were optional for a fee, but we preferred to listen to the guide.

This was a great tour and we thought the price was very reasonable. The guide really made the museum exhibits even more interesting. We were able to ask questions and, although we covered alot of exhibits in only two hours, we did not feel rushed. The guide was funny and entertaining too. We felt like the tour guide made our museum experience that much more rewarding.

Call the museum ahead of time and find out if they offer tours. Many museums will include the cost of a tour in the admission price. However, you need to find out if reservations are needed. These tour spots often fill up quite fast- especially during vacation seasons!
