Description of service
The service was a visit to the local Dermatologist's office for my son. My insurance considers this "elective" and thus does not cover dermatology unless it is a serious medical condition. So the $90 represented payment for one visit without any insurance contribution. The visit was to treat his acne problem. It lasted about a half hour. Most of it was the nurse though and the doctor was really only in for about 5 minutes.
Review of Service
Overall, I was actually pretty dissapointed. There weren't much results from the visit, and it was too expensive to keep coming back so often. The doctor wanted weekly visits but I simply could not afford $90 per week. The treatment stuff that he put on seemed to help just a little bit, but nothing much more than the cream you can by over the counter for $5 at the local drug store. Maybe we just had an experience with a bad overpriced doctor or something, but we were not impressed.
Tips
My tip would be to do your homework on local doctors and which ones people are saying are good. Also do the homework with your insurance. If insurance won't cover it it can get very pricey very fast.
