Description of service
I called a local dermatologist office to set up a appointment for my daughter. She had a skin discoloration and wanted it looked at. I was afraid it would be very costly so I asked enough questions and set the appointment. When the day arrived we went to the doctor and were planning on paying the 20% that the insurance requires us to pay. In this case it was only 12.00, and I knew this ahead of time.
Review of Service
My Daughter felt that it was important to have a skin discoloration looked at by a doctor. We went to the appointment and were prepared to pay the 20% co pay and that wasn't bad. The prescription we left with was for something that only cost 4.00 at the local pharmacy that we go to for prescriptions. It was a great day since meeting a new doctor and feeling like the doctor was trustworthy was a great experience. The skin discoloration that my daughter had was described and explained in enough detail that we were able to leave with a feeling of relief that the problem would be solved with the medication and special treatment weekly by my daughter to prevent the growth on the skin again in the future.
Tips
I would suggest that if you or your loved ones ever develop a skin discoloration or extra "itch" that you have it checked since it could be quite minor in the realm of it all since we were lucky and this problem was a easy fix. The price was well worth it also.
