Description of service
I went to the dermatologist because I had developed lesions on my skin, including my back, arms, and legs. The lesions were painful, and some of them were seeping. I tried several different treatments at home, but nothing would help to clear them.
Review of Service
The doctor examined the lesions, then he prescribed a topical treatment cream. I used it for a while, but my skin did not clear. I went back to the doctor, and he did a biopsy. He prescribed a different topical treatment cream. The results of the biopsy were negative, but the doctor still could not identify the cause of the lesions or an effective treatment. As a last resort, he recommended light treatment therapy. I went to the doctor's office for the treatment. It lasted less than one minute. In total, I took eight treatments, but they were not helpful. The doctor then suggested that I purchase a light treatment machine for home use. I purchased the machine at a cost of $1,500 of my own money. I used the machine for six months, but my condition never really improved. Now I am stuck with a light treatment machine.
Tips
It is difficult to diagnose some skin conditions. If you have a unique problem, try to gather as much information as possible before you go to a dermatologist. Don't expect a miracle cure. Most likely, you will have to try several different treatments. Whatever you do, don't let anyone talk you into buying a light treatment machine. In most cases, you can find light therapy treatment at a hospital or dermatologist's office near your home.
