Description of service
It costs $95.00 for a first visit to a pediatric dermatologist. My eighteen month old daughter was born with a bump on her back. Her pediatrician diagnosed it as a hemangioma and said that he thought that it would disappear as she grew older. He suggested that I should get a specialist opinion on whether any treatment would be necessary or not.
Review of Service
I took my daughter to a pediatric dermatologist that was located iside of a children's hospital. They were really professional and great with children. I went to have a bump on my daughters back cheked out. The doctor assured me that it wasn't uncommon for children to be born with hemangiomas and not to worry. The dermatolgist also noticed that my daughter had some dry patches of skin (aczema) and prescribed some medicine that solved the problem. There are not any children's skin specialist in my town, so I had to drive about 70 miles for the appointment. Other than that, I was pleased with the visit.
Tips
When it comes to your children's health, it's important to keep your appointments and go to check ups. When my pediatrician refers me to a specialist I always follow his advice, even if I feel that it is not necessary.
