Description of service
I had an appointment for my yearly checkup with my dermatologist. She performed a complete body examination to look for skin cancer. I also talked with her regarding aging issues and hair loss due to medication. She wrote a prescription for retin-a and gave me lots of samples for skin care lotions, sunscreens, and moisturizers. My insurance does not cover this doctor so I paid the bill myself.
Review of Service
I love this dermatologist. She has been my doctor for several years. She always tries to find the most economical options for medications and other treatments. She also takes time to sit and talk with me as long as I need. I don't feel like I'm being rushed out the door. The whole staff is wonderful. I feel the price is very reasonable. I have other doctors who charge much more than this doctor and provide less actual time to speak with me or examine me.
Tips
My best tip is to talk with friends or relatives and research the doctor before you go. Also ask about prices when you call to make an appointment. When you do sit down with the doctor, don't be afraid or ashamed to ask questions. A lot of people think of doctors as " gods" . They are just human beings like you and me. Think of them as someone you are hiring. Make sure that you get your money's worth.
