Description of service
I went on a trail ride at a local ranch. The cost included horse and tack rental along with use of the horse trainer as a guide.
Like most of Tyler, the ranch grounds were filled with trees, small hills, and lots of trails. A small creek cut through the property. It was a beautiful way to spend a chilly, fall morning. The trails on the property were cleared and well tended without taking away from the beauty of the natural surroundings.
Review of Service
I really enjoyed the trail ride. The horse trainer was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Because I was also interested in learning more about horses and horse riding in general, she helped me properly saddle the horse. She made sure the stirrups were adjusted to my height and that they felt comfortable. Whenever I had a question, she was quick with an answer. Any help I needed with horse riding or control of the horse was readily given.
Tips
Don't go with the cheapest person you can find. Safety when horseback riding is paramount. If you've never ridden a horse before, it would be best to ride one that has a calm, easy going personality. Don't be afraid to ask questions! The people at the ranch should be friendly and knowledgeable. If they can't sufficiently answer your questions, you should move on to another ranch. Make sure the trails are cleared of debris that might cause a horse to trip or otherwise cause accidents.
