Description of service
This ride was held at a dude ranch in Wyoming that had miles of trails and scenery. It took place in the middle of a desert and included a pre-made lunch halfway into the ride. The rides go in groups of 6 people including one guide, and included the horses walking and trotting in a single file line behind the guide.
Review of Service
The whole experience was great and exactly what was needed. My family and I took this horse back ride as part of our vacation a year ago, and it was a perfect family event that was fun was all of us. The horses were well-behaved, especially because they ride single-file and it was a mildly-paced ride. The guide was very friendly, which I felt made all the difference, and was helpful in controlling the ride to ensure that everyone had a good time. Having a horseback ride that includes a meal is also an added bonus, especially if you pick a serene location, because you can truly relax and soak up the surroundings. I would have tipped for such an enjoyable experience, but the practice was not allowed.
Tips
One of the most important things is to book the horseback ride when the weather is predicted to be enjoyable. Since I do not believe that horseback rides are in high demand, you may be able to book them within a week of your initial call, which means you could get an idea of the weather to make sure it is optimal. Also, do your research on where to book the horseback ride and take a harder look at booking a ride at a dude ranch as I believe this will provide a better experience due to the isolation and serenity of the surroundings.
