Description of service
We took a 2 hour trail ride through some woods at an overnight camp. The cost was $55 per person and children over 12.
Review of Service
We stopped at a camp for the night during a road trip we were taking. They offered 2 hour trail rides for $55 so we took advantage of it. The horses were clearly well taken care of and the grounds were beautiful. Our guide was great about showing us the native plants and telling us about them. It was a very slow and relaxing ride.
The only complaint I had is that my friends and I are good horseback riders with a lot of experience. We would have liked to be able to take a few minutes off of the path and maybe trot the horses a bit. We weren't allowed to and so our horses were all just in a straight line. I realize why they couldn't let us just take the horses and go but I really wished we could have.
Tips
Horse back riding can be a really nice way to spend a few hours. However, be sure you know just how much guidance you'll get before you sign up. There should be different levels of rides based on your abilities.
