Description of service
I paid 100 dollars for two people to go on a trail ride. The price included a short introduction to riding class, meeting the horses, learning to saddle and the fun of brushing the horses after the ride. The instructor was wonderful and spent a lot of time with my sister, who is developmentally disabled, she needed some extra encouragement. We were in a small class of 5 people, all had ridden in the past, but not much.
Review of Service
The service was excellent. The farm was clean, neat and well maintained. The equipment was in good condition and the horses were very tame. The instructor spent the time necessary to make sure we were comfortable with the horses before we went on our trail ride. The trail was scenic and an easy ride. The instructor pointed out plants and animal tracks to make the ride more interesting. We had a break at the half way point and snacks were provided. It really was a great experiance and worth the money.
Tips
Call around to compare prices. Ask what is provided, such as snacks for the riders or treats to feed the horses. If you have special needs, be sure to tell them so you will know if they can accommodate you. If you are new to horses, find out how many people will be on the ride and what type of introduction to riding you can expect. Find out what the policy is if the weather is bad the day of your ride.
