Description of service
I paid to have my front brake pads replaced and to resurface the rotors. I initially left the vehicle for an estimate of the work that needed to be done and they called a little while later saying the brake pads needed to be replaced and the rotors were in fair shape but needed a little resurfacing but did nit need to be replaced. They estimated the cost to be $240, the final bill was very close to that. Parts were $105 and the rest was labor.
Review of Service
I was very happy with the service I received, they had the car done in a couple of hours. The brakes work great, there is no squeaking or vibration in the front of the car. The Lexus dealer estimated a cost of $406 to replace the brakes, saying that the car had ceramic brakes which were more expensive to replace. I was very happy with the price and the service I got, able to save a little money over the cost of the dealer.
Tips
It really pays to check around, I got estimates from a few repair shops (including the dealer) and there was a significant difference in some of the estimates. Since the cost for brakes is mostly labor, it's up to the repair shop to be fair and honest.
