I had recently driven my car through a lot of rough terrain. When I tried to start my car, the next morning, it would not start. I believe that the problem was caused due to some water that had entered the battery. I called a mechanic who corrected the problem and charged me $60.

The mechanic whom I had called was from a local garage. He told me that there was some problem with a wire that was attached with the battery. He removed that wire, cleaned it and fixed the connection again. And in one go, the car was just like before again. I was satisfied with the service that I received but I believe that he should have charged less; the job hardly took him five minutes. But nevertheless, what I wanted was done and no time was wasted at all.

The car owner should know how to solve such minor problems that occur chronically. When a mechanic visits your place there are some minimum charges that you have to pay, even if he does nothing at all; so be prepared for it. Unless it is very urgent, prefer visiting the garage or a service centre yourself instead of calling a mechanic to your place.
