Description of service
The service I went in for was for a window replacement on the passenger side door, along with a replacement of the electric system for the power windows. The total cost for both was $125 in parts and $266 in labor.
Review of Service
I took my car in to a local Lexus dealership. I acquired the car used, so I was not familiar with the dealership. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the dealership had the replacement parts in stock. Other local auto service shops had to order the parts, so this was a nice bonus. After the technician inspected the car, I was given a quick estimate. I have to admit the labor was a little pricey, but being that I was in a tight bind and needed my car I gladly paid the charges. Lexus takes a lot of pride in their vehicles, and even offered me free replacement floor mats with the Lexus logo on them; for a 16 year old car! I was quite impressed to say the least.
Tips
It helps to shop around if you need to replace the electrical system in your Lexus as it can be quite an expensive proposition. However, the level of service I received at my local dealership went beyond my expectations. I'm not sure if this is the norm with other dealerships, but it should!
