Description of service
We went in to get my daughter's hair done for her special occasion dance this spring. I had expected to be charged more. The stylist first washed and trimmed my daughter's hair. Then she suggested straightening. She blew dried her hair first with a lower heat. Then she had a very nice flat iron that did a much better job than what we could do with our cheap straightener at home. She also used some product to make it last. It took about an hour from start to finish, but she did have to work on another client for part of the time. The cost does not include the additional tip which we left for this stylist.
Review of Service
The stylist we went to did a really great job with my daughter's hair. I think it would depend somewhat on the stylist and what products and equipment she has to use, but we were thrilled with the outcome of our experience. She took care not to over expose my daughter's hair and asked a lot of questions about how much processing she had done on her own. We were very happy with the way the style looked when she was done. Plus it lasted a few days (without washing the hair in between) looking great.
Tips
I think getting the "full treatment" wash and trim was really the key to the great look. If we had skipped that, I don't think it would've turned out so well.
