Description of service
I recently got my hair straightened out because I wanted it to be really straight and slick for my sister's wedding. My stylist washed my hair twice to remove all of the excess residue and buildup and it made my hair really shiny. She then rolled it in rollers and set me under a hood dryer for about 15 minutes to heat up my hair. She then parted my hair in sections and used a round brush to blow dry each section really straight. She also used the round brush to make it a little wavy at the bottom to add volume to my hair. My stylist also trimmed off about an inch of split ends at the bottom.
Review of Service
Previous stylists had just parted my hair in sections and blown it out. I was really happy that my stylist put me under a dryer first. She explained that it would minimize damage to my hair if she set me in a dryer first. This also minimized all of the hair pulling that other stylists had done to get the same results. I was really happy with the way my hair was straight and sleek. I think I got a pretty good deal for a wash, cut and blow out.
Tips
Try asking if they'll wash your hair twice to remove hair oils and product residue. I have normal to greasy hair and this helped a lot. I know my friends who have dry hair would never want to do that, but it works if you have my hair type.
