Description of service
After baseball season is officially over each year, we search for other ways to keep our children either active or mentally engaged. Last year we began our youngest on piano lessons. For $50 per week he gets two days of lessons, one hour each day at a retired teacher's home.
Review of Service
The lady who gives my son his lessons is a retired school teacher and also plays the piano in a local church. She's very good with children and he love going to classes at her home. While all I heard the first couple of times when I witnessed the lessons was powerful pounding and basic noise, she encouraged him continuously and informed me that he had a natural talent. After a few months I was able to detect somewhat of a tune to all of the noise and felt much better about the lessons. Although we have temporarily stopped the lessons for this year's baseball season, we will definitely sign up for them again this year.
Tips
Call local music stores or even churches for suggestions. They usually can recommend people with the patience and knowledge to teach your youngster. If you don't have a piano at home, see if you can pay a little extra to allow your child some "free time" on your instructor's piano.
