Description of service
I recieved a one hour piano lesson. The lesson began with some warm ups and then the instructor helped me work through some songs I was practing and helped me learn a new song. She helped with any difficulties I was having and went over any new material that I was encountering in the songs. The payment was for the cost of the lesson only. I did not feel that it was necessary to include gratuity because the instructor works for herself, therefore keeps the full cost of the lesson. Materials were not included in the price, I purchased my own book prior to the lesson. My piano teacher will purchase the materials for you an additional fee, but I choose to buy them myself over an online auction which saved me some money on the books. The cost of the piano lesson therefore covered the cost of tuition only.
Review of Service
The service was great. The instructor helped me with parts of the song which were difficult for me and caught all my mistakes. If I encountered any new applications of piano theory she went over it with me. I was really pleased with the service and have no complaints with the instruction I recieved. I feel the service was an excellent value for the price, my instructor was really knowledgable and a great help to me.
Tips
The person I hired was a church pianist. She works out of the church. She is not classically trained, but just as experienced as any other piano instructor I've had, but the price is lot less because of it. Try to find someone that works out of their home or a church, the lessons will be just as good, but the price will be much better.
