the Price of Piano Lessons

This service description is for piano lessons at a local music store. The $128 charge was a discounted monthly fee. The normal cost is $45 per week. The music store offered several other instrumental classes from various independent teachers, as well as a flexible schedule.

My overall review of the service was good. The teacher was very professional and I was allowed to sit in during my child's lessons. He was prompt and always patient and friendly with my daughter. I heard him play the piano himself a few times, so I knew he was highly skilled and well worth the money. The music shop was very clean and orderly. I have no complaints about the service. My only regret is that my daughter grew tired of going. I was not interested in forcing her to do something she had no desire to do anymore, so, after only 4 months we stopped going.

My suggestion is that if you are interested in learning to play the piano, or if you think your child might be, hold off on purchasing a full sized piano. I bought a electric keyboard and it worked just fine for her to practice on. Then, later on down the road once it is clear that you will stick with it, buy the piano.
