Description of service
The piano teacher was a popular teacher in the area. Her service prices seemed very reasonable for the level of teaching the student would be receiving. All students would start with classical music books of their level and progress as their skills increased. The teacher taught to types of lessons. One was geared toward students who were very detail oriented and could be depended upon to practice daily. These students would receive a classical training which is much more strenous. The other type of student was one that would be more interested in popular music and would not be as inclined to learn all the stringent details required for the classical works. Students did better if they started lessons after age 8 but the teacher was willing to take on younger students if they were very motivated.
Review of Service
The teaching style was very detailed and clear. The teacher was very skilled and able to keep the student interested. The bedside manner, if you will, was alittle cold and demanding but the level of teaching seemed to be very high.
Tips
Determine if you or your child is truly interested and willing to work hard at the lessons or if the interest is more casual. Look for a teacher that fits you or your childs personality and level of committment. The teacher and student will be much happier that way and you will not feel that it is a waste of your money.
