Description of service
The smog inspection was $35 dollars and the smog certificate was an addition $9 with an ETF around $1. This was all I needed to make sure I could get my registration renewed for my SUV.
Review of Service
The service was somewhat slow and I am really glad that I had recently had the car checked out to insure there were no problems with it. It took the service station two and half hours and there was only one person in front of me. All in all, the car passed the smog test after the long wait and I had gotten what I came for!
Tips
I would suggest finding a station or dealership that can drop you off at work so you do not have to stay and wait for your car to be done. I have only had to do a smog inspection once out here in California, but I would much rather be spending my time being productive than sitting in a garage waiting for them to complete a simple smog check. I would also be careful who you get to do your smog check. I was warned by the place that I took mine too that some smog certificates are not recognized by the state and cannot be used to prove your car passed its smog test.
