the Price of a Smog Check

My car registration was due and I required a smog check. They did the Smog Check required by the state of California. That included making sure my catilitic converter was working and my fuel mixture was correct. They also checked my fluids and top them off.I periodically get this test done so as to contribute my bit towards keeping the environment clean. They even washed my windows!

The service was acceptable. The test is pretty much self explanatory and I have done the test before so knew exactly what had to be done. The representative may not have been the most polite person but he did his job effectively and quickly. I give the servicer poor marks for politeness but good marks for working hard.

Be sure to make an appointment, otherwise there may be a very long wait. Also, try to use the same garage for all of your work, they will thank you for it and treat you better, providing faster service, because of it. Find out, if you can, if there is an anticipated wait time, and what the best time of day to come in would be so you aren't stuck waiting for a very long time. Ask if there are places they recommend for vehicle repairs should your vehicle not pass the smog testing, and what kinds of things they are looking for.
